Manolo's business trip

According to QMPP report (n.d, p.12-13): ‘the basic storyline involves Manolo being invited to give a presentation on the importance of eLearning in the training of health professionals at an international conference in Scotland at some point in the future with the objective of incorporating all the necessary language scenarios commonly required by health managers: reading and writing e-mails, speaking on the telephone, organising and attending meetings, negotiating, preparing and giving presentations, executing clinical interviews, addressing doctor patient relations, socialising, etc)’. The way the avatar deals with emerging situations is collectively decided in the classroom. The teachers organise the next episode of ‘Manolo’s Business Trip’ taking into account the preferred method of interaction. The episodes are in the form interactive flash objects and available online at Iavante Blog (http://wat.iavante.es/blogs/etp/manolos-business-trip). Learning material (texts, audio, activities etc) are downloadable and available for public use.
