The siLang evaluation goal is to: “Ensure that project outcomes meet the needs of the stakeholder profession-al lifelong learning community in terms of enriching language skills, em-powering effective communication within business contexts, and raising awareness on the cultural richness of European languages.”

Evaluation activities target all outcomes of the project, namely methodological / pedagogical design, learning tools, and teacher support content and services. More specifically, the objectives of the evaluation activities are:

  • To evaluate the soundness of the siLang situated learning methodologies that are combined the game-based educational approaches towards enhancing communication capacity of professionals in vehicular languages
  • To validate the design and the technical implementation of the siLang language learning game as a software tool that can enrich language and cultural communication skills addressing work needs
  • To evaluate the impact of the siLang educator support services and content, namely good practice videos, informational wiki, and end-to-end learning activities documented as learning sheets

The issue of impact is of particular significance to ensure that the benefits of si-Lang activities reach the target sector beyond the consortium offering added value at the national and European level. Given the significance of project impact and of the post project exploitation and sustainability of project outcomes, specific eval-uation goals on impact are identified below:

  • To assess how broadly dissemination activities reach the targeted sector of professional lifelong skill development
  • To assess the extent to which project outcomes are deployed among stake-holders
  • To assess the potential for future exploitation and further adoption of out-comes through the establishment of working relationships with profession-al, educational, and policy making bodies that have critical mass and es-tablished reach among stakeholders
  • To assess the adaptability of outcomes towards meeting learning needs among additional sectors in a value adding manner
