Evaluation activities took place with 4 groups and were organized by EWF. A total of 48 professionals and adult trainees were engaged in evaluation activities in Portugal. EWF supervised closely the evaluation activities and organised additional ones in Romania and in Spain with the engagement of an additional group of 27 professionals.

Overall, it was opted that the participants recognised the need that the game ad-dresses. The interface of the game received also positive comments as it was con-sidered attractive and easy to use. The scenario of the game was also considered engaging; as a result ‘narrative immersion’ could occur. The game also succeeds in addressing real-life needs and approaching ‘communication’ in English in an authentic and innovative way. The game is associated with the development of specific language learning skills such as the development of listening comprehension skills, writing skills, reflection upon the formal and informal use of English, familiarization with the diverging use of English in various settings and more.

In general the siLang proof-of-concept game was well accepted by the participants in the evaluation studies. Some technical issues were identified and communicated to the siLang implementation team. Some suggestions for future extension of the game also emerged setting a basis whereupon siLang serious game can be further enriched and developed addressing the needs of additional target groups.
